Join the Cottage City Community Garden this Saturday for our Annual Spring Season Opener! Meet your neighbors and help kickoff the garden season right. We’ll also be giving away over 250 packets of vegetable and flower seeds for planting!
A community garden is a communal piece of land on which many people plant vegetables or flowers in divided plots. It’s a way to beautify a community, improve your diet, get some exercise, connect to the environment and save money on grocery bills, all at the same time. If you’re interested in doing any of the above, then you should be a part of the Cottage City Community Garden.
Join the Cottage City Community Garden and the Port Towns Youth Council for our annual garden opener on Saturday, April 8th, between 9am-12pm.
All are welcome to volunteer and help us continue to improve the Cottage City Community Garden. Middle School and High School students can receive service-learning credit for their participation.
