Beautiful video by The Atlantic and Paul Rosenfeld about Go-Go and its transition as the Washington, DC changes. The interesting thing about communities and demographic shifts is how people shun the culture they were seeking when they moved to an urban community.
How can you want to live in Shaw and not like the music scene? Or live near Malcolm X Park and hate the drum circle? It makes me think of the article this summer when Police Officers complained about white residents reporting black neighbors walking as suspicious.
One day we will figure it out.
