Join me and a few of my colleagues and community members for the 2018 National Capital Area Chapter of the American Planning Association’s annual conference on Thursday, October 18, at George Washington University.
The Prince George’s County Zoning Rewrite Team and community members will be presenting on the Community Engagement in the Zoning Rewrite process.
This panel will explore the process and results of the Planning Department’s efforts to strengthen relationships with Prince George’s communities, particularly those in the County that are economically, racially, and socially diverse and have been marginalized or under-represented in the planning process. During the discussion, our team will share their experience as members of the public contributing to the zoning rewrite project as well as planning staff committing to educate and broaden the network of individuals who provided comments.
