First Tuesdays at Abraham Hall

Yesterday, I returned to Abraham Hall, the site of the Prince George’s County Black History Program to present on Food Equity and Food Systems in the County for their monthly First Tuesday program. In the summer of 2008, I joined the staff at the Black History Program at Abraham Hall. This is where informally began my training in public history l, learning (and understanding) the stories of families in the County, and understanding how that history shapes our communities today. Always excited to return home!
Thanks to Dennis Doster and Artura Jackson for creating the space and to Sydney Daigle (Prince George’s Food Equity Council), Chloe Marshall (Food Justice Coalition 20743) and Tarin for sharing with me. #wp
