Emerge Young Triad Artists! The African American Atelier is looking for 25 visual artists between the ages of 18 – 25 for its 25under25 exhibition to be held July 12 – August 5, 2011. Application deadline is May 20, 2011.

 

25under25 showcases emerging artists from throughout the Piedmont Triad and is designed to introduce our community to an array of eclectic and vibrant artwork from a diverse group of artists.   The exhibition is open to all artists between the ages of 18 – 25 currently residing or attending school in Alamance, Caswell DavidsonForsyth,GuilfordMontgomeryRandolph, Rockingham, Yadkin, WilkesStokes and Surrycounties.

 

Eligibility

  •  Artists must be between the ages of 18 – 25 
  • Artists must currently reside in or attend a college/university that is located within the Piedmont Triad
  • Artists must submit only original 2D and 3D artwork in any traditional medium, including photography, fiber, ceramics, metal, glass, and moveable sculpture. Video will not be considered.
  • Entries must have been completed within the last year. Each artist may submit up to three entries. NO COPIES.
  • Images submitted must be of the completed pieces that will be available to the Atelier from 07/5/2011  08/5/11

Submission Details

Completed entries must including the following:

  • 25under25 Application Form. Download here
  •  Biography of Applicant (200 word maximum)
  • CD with images in jpeg format. Please name files with your full name, and title of artwork. CDs of accepted work will be retained by the gallery
  • $15 student membership fee paid by check or cash
